what's it called when an entire species has a variation of imposter syndrome where every individual member thinks they're one of a small group of outsiders but in actuality they're all part of the same group of social animals needing social interaction who all feel like that?

And way is the feeling of being an outsider, if not fear? Fear for one's safety, fear of losing one's culture, fear of giving offence, fear of change, generally, etc.
