The federated network as it currently stands certainly presents user discovery challenges, but I'll tell y'all what, putting together a home feed made up of the output of some fantastic minds has been pleasantly effortless by watching y'all post in federated public feeds.
Good job, y'all, give yourselves a nice round of boosts.
While I'm at it, it's /critical/ that this not remain the primary means of discovery for most instances. It is strongly biased to the loud, the extroverted, etc. We absolutely require a way to surface accounts that are not so visible (yet not trying to be locked down, obviously).
(Psst, this should always be a good way of surfacing quality in my estimation, despite historically always seeming to come to a necessary end - when it stops being worthwhile, we might be centralizing too tightly (again) and need to re-examine federation methodologies)
